Build Change, a leading social enterprise dedicated to making homes and schools more resilient, today announced several key promotions within its senior leadership team. These strategic advancements will further strengthen Build Change’s global reach and impact in creating resilient communities.
“These promotions recognize the exceptional contributions and leadership of Noll, Monica, Liva, and Joel,” said Juan Caballero, CEO of Build Change. “Their expertise and dedication built upon several years of service with the organization are invaluable as we continue to scale our work and shift power to homeowners living in vulnerable housing. We are confident that in their new roles, they will be instrumental in achieving our mission of preventing disaster-related losses to lives and livelihoods.”
The following individuals have been promoted, effective immediately:
- Noll Tufani has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Programs and Business Development from his previous position as VP Programs, Africa and Middle East. Noll will now oversee Build Change’s program strategy and implementation globally, while also leading business development efforts to expand the organization’s reach and secure sustainable funding for its life-saving work.
- Monica Schroeder has been promoted to Vice President, Global Engagement from her previous role as Director of Global Advocacy. In this expanded role, Monica will lead Build Change’s efforts in building strategic partnerships and communications, fostering global advocacy for resilient building, and strengthening relationships with philanthropic partners to maximize the organization’s impact worldwide.
- Liva Shrestha has been promoted to Director of Programs and Engineering Lead, Asia-Pacific from her previous role as Lead Structural Engineer, Asia-Pacific and Nepal Country Representative. Liva will be responsible for leading Build Change’s programs and providing technical engineering leadership across the Asia-Pacific region, leveraging her deep expertise in earthquake-resistant design and construction.
- Joel Herold has been promoted to Director of Technology from his previous role as Director of Application Development. Joel will lead the development and implementation of Build Change’s technology strategy, ensuring the organization leverages innovative digital solutions to enhance its operational efficiency, data management, and impact measurement.
These promotions reflect Build Change’s commitment to investing in its talented team and ensuring strong leadership to navigate the challenges of creating safer built environments in vulnerable regions. The organization is poised for continued growth and impact under this strengthened leadership.
