A highly experienced leader of international development projects across the globe, Sibel Berzeg has overseen effective implementation of projects in more than 35 countries and some of the world’s most challenging and complex environments. Her experience includes more than nine years of field-based leadership experience (Chief of Party and Regional Director) in nine countries spanning the former Soviet Union, Latin America, South Asia and Kosovo.
Sibel has expertise in hands-on technical leadership/implementation of civil society, governance, food security, environment, human rights, anti-corruption, humanitarian, local economic development/livelihoods and media development projects. Her field-based management experience includes leading more than 130 expatriate and local staff on some 50+ projects in seven countries.
As President of Build Change, Sibel is responsible for overseeing the organization’s Finance, HR, IT, Communications, Operations, Legal and Security teams, and above all, supporting the field teams, business development, advocacy staff and CEO to deliver on our life-saving mission.
