Sharon Cooley brings over 25 years of experience working on international development programs across the globe. She is a preeminent business development professional who has led the proposal and development function for large and small organizations, worked in city government, and served on the Board of Directors of the Society for International Development, elected to the post by industry peers.

Her background includes serving as Senior Vice President for an international development company in Washington, DC, where she sat on the Executive Committee and oversaw a development division of over 20 staff. She has also held a position in the City Manager’s Office of Management and Budget for a large California city. Sharon leveraged this role in city government for local government and civil society strengthening projects for USAID and the World Bank internationally.

Sharon resides in Durango, Colorado, with her family and enjoys skiing, hiking the local San Juan Mountains, and experimental gardening with native plants.
