Antoine Williams’ role at Build Change is to develop and enhance collaborative efforts and projects with city governments and private stakeholders in the south region as part of Build Change’s preventive strategy for the United States. Previously, he directed economic development programs of service, Tax Increment Finance programs, capital improvement project planning and management, and public-private partnerships. In addition, he led and developed a Home Preservation Grant Program during his tenure as Deputy Director of a 15-district municipal redevelopment agency to repair unsafe houses and a Commercial Property Improvement Program that updated unsafe structures in underserved communities.

A 20-year veteran of local government, Antoine Williams brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. He brings over 7 years of value in implementing, developing, and administering projects within complex public-private partnerships. His multi-faceted career enables him with a degree of nuance and proven ability to coordinate multiple related projects concurrently to achieve organizational objectives. His life of public service also includes experience in philanthropic fundraising, government, public safety, emergency management, and designing and implementing programs of service in support of community and housing resiliency.

He also brings distinctive perspectives, skills, and specializations to the team. One notable example includes: His having served as a law enforcement officer for nearly 10-years, earning his way to the rank of Operations Patrol Sergeant. Additionally, during his tenure as the first responder, he completed a series of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Incident Management Systems training (e.g., ICS-100 and 200, IS-700 and 800). In 2014, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida Gulf Coast University, with a minor in Philosophy.
