With a commitment to innovation in resilience and public health that spans the globe, Tim McLellan brings a passion for international development to his role as President. He leads finance and operations at Build Change in order to create a dynamic environment for Build Change engineering, access-to-finance, and advocacy specialists to thrive and optimize their impact.
Tim arrived at Build Change after years of working in non-profit organizations to promote public health and increase access to economic opportunity. He spent ten years leading projects in Nigeria and India to reduce the transmission of HIV, Malaria and diarrheal diseases and promote the use of family planning. Subsequently, Tim was the Chief Operating Officer of TechnoServe for 10 years, based in Washington DC. He oversaw the growth and implementation of projects to increase productivity and resilience of farms, businesses and industries in over 25 countries in Africa, Asia and Central/Latin America. Tim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and Business from The University of Notre Dame and a Master’s in Development Economics and Business from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Early in his career, Tim served two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger.
